A fascinating Crinoid Fossil Tower featuring an intricate mosaic of ancient fossilized marine life preserved within a dark gray, charcoal, cream, and earthy brown stone matrix. The surface is filled with distinctive circular, ring-shaped, and segmented fossil patterns created by crinoid stems and other marine fossil fragments. Crinoids are ancient sea-dwelling animals related to modern starfish and sea urchins, and their calcite-rich skeletal remains accumulated within sediment that eventually lithified into fossiliferous limestone. The polished surface beautifully exposes the remarkable variety of fossil shapes and natural patterns throughout this specimen.
Each natural stone is unique, with variations in color, fossil formations, mineral inclusions, patterning, and small imperfections that make every piece truly one of a kind.
